Worst Excess Deaths in 129 yrs

That’s fake news broadcast by BBC Scotland BTW…

  • Deputy FM John Swinney held the Covid press briefing supported by NCD Jason Leitch…The game was ‘let’s compare vaccinations with England” and make ScotGov look bad on the day the UK death rate reached another awful peak…
  • From the past came a poll about a prosecution of former PM Tony Blair…
  • Alex Salmond’s former Chief of Staff, Geoff Aberdein, has been barred from giving evidence of a conspiracy against his boss to the Holyrood inquiry…
  • Nicola Sturgeon is England’s favourite political leader…Who knew?…
  • Lesley Riddoch analyses the detail in the latest poll by Scot Goes Pop…
  • We all have a go at the threat to free speech from the woke division.

  1. Touche, Jimmy. That made me laugh. All men have to do is stand in front of a barn door if we do go on the rampage.

Stewart: yes, it is about women weighing up the risks and seeing independence as the lesser of two evils – at least, all the women who are not already independence supporters, some of whom are just as vociferous as any of the men. In the end, it comes down, I think, to people. Some of Margaret Thatcher’s greatest critics were women. I was, but because of her ideology, which was vicious. The roots of the ‘woke’ movement can be traced back to her, and her American counterparts: they forced universities and colleges, in particular, to become business models and produce managers. The ‘woke’ movement started life as an academic critique and has targeted managers/administrators/bureaucrats, hence its appeal to the SNPG.

Phil: the pseudo ‘wokism’ is much broader than just trans issues, but it is the trans issue that has captured many of the SNPG ‘wokists’, and they are mainly women, but they are very much out of synch with the majority of women in that most women do not see trans women as women, or would extend our safe spaces to them.

Norrie: most women I know are in sympathy with genuinely dysphoric people, as am I, and as you say they are a tiny minority. Unfortunately, all kinds of cross-dressers, drag queens and fetishists (some wear nappies to Pride Marches) are now under the trans umbrella, so women will fight this to the bitter end. Stonewall Diversity Champions have already infiltrated all aspects of public life – schools, colleges, universities, government, local government, NHS, etc., as well as private businesses. Stonewall has managed to unite straight women, lesbians and body dysphoric trans women against their policies. Jimmy is right in that it is not a question of toilets – if you need to pee, you need to pee – but about our safe spaces. The trans lobby have all the same rights as the rest of the population, but they want all of ours, too. There is no middle ground, I’m afraid, until the trans lobby agrees to lay off the 2010 Equality Act and stops trying to push women out of the Act’s protections. The ‘woke’ movement is far more dangerous, I think, than people realize, and has to be stopped. It is of the left, but its strings are being pulled by the right, particularly predatory capitalism.
